See the clever tablescape posted earlier this week.

If you want to make some delicious treats to celebrate the holiday, glorious treats has some wonderful and stylish ideas.

She created this beautiful flag cake.  Wouldn’t that be fun to surprise everyone when you cut into that?

I also love the banner across the cake that is wonderful on it’s own if you want to make a simple cake or decorate a purchased one.

Red and white summer tablescape from Project Wedding.com

Here is a gorgeous tablescape from project wedding.

It is a clever idea on using simple, easy to find items for a beautiful table setting.

It shows that with a little attention to detail you can use very ordinary things to make something wonderful.

The have used strawberries curving down the center of the table along with small glasses or votive holders filled with white flowers alternating with clear jars of the same white flowers.

You can see more details and photos at their website and additional photos.

They used it for a wedding and you can use it for inspiration for the 4th of July.

Think of how you can use this idea for other times of the year, a more casual setting, or to create a completely different color scheme with other fruits or vegetables.

I can see lemons and daisies for a lovely yellow and white theme or red apples and blue bandanas tied with twine for a more casual country look.
