“As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.”

John F. Kennedy

Sometimes you need to make gratitude a habit.

I created a free online gratitude journal  to help you establish a habit of writing in your gratitude journal for 30 days.

When you sign up, you’ll receive a 30 day free daily email that includes inspiring quotes.

I’ve used it several times myself and find it always gives me a boost.

15 Minutes of Productivity

My sister and I have been working on a project to simplify and streamline things so that we can make more time for creativity and to do the things we love…..like making jewelry and art , sewing, cooking, crafting, photography, writing, etc.

One of the things we are experimenting with is breaking things down into 15 minute blocks.  We both really like this concept so far.

It doesn’t seem like much time, and yet some of the projects you work on that can be overwhelming, quite honestly, are just a series of small steps that really can be accomplished in 10 – 15 minutes.

What are some of the things that you have done to simplify or streamline?

sketches-of-leaf

I made a decision that to improve my drawing skills, it would take more than wishing :) .

So I am taking some botanic illustration classes at the Denver Botanic Gardens.  You can see the colored pencil drawing as a result of this sketch on my SallyEvansArt site blog here.

I want to get into the habit of drawing on a regular basis and figured this was a good way to start.

Even though I don’t usually do detailed work, I think it will have great impact on the way I create 3 dimensional pieces in jewelry as well as improve my drawing and art.

What would you like to improve?  Can you take a class or join a friend to practice?
