Four Minutes of Inspiration

Wednesday, July 14th, 2010

I don’t know about you, but I can never get too much inspiration.

I think we all need to have our dreams and aspirations reaffirmed because it can be way too easy to come up with reasons that lead you away.

You are too busy.
You don’t know enough.
You can’t compete with what is already out there.
Who are you to think you can do it.
Oh, it’s just a silly idea.

The harder road is to keep going. Keep plugging away, even when you aren’t sure where it’s going. Even when you don’t know what you are doing.

Because your heart tugs at you to be yourself, to do things your own way. You would think that is easy but it’s not.

We are all so conditioned to compare ourselves and to think we aren’t enough.

I found this video on U-tube through Kelly Rae Roberts, a talented mixed media artist.

Kelly Corrigan, best selling author of Lift and The Middle Place has these inspiring words for all of us. Take 4 minutes to be inspired today.

Invest in Your Happiness

Monday, June 7th, 2010

I’ve been dealing with clutter and information overload this week.  I’ve written some articles which I’ll be sharing with you soon.

As I have been going through the piles of information, business products I’ve purchased, books with intriguing titles, etc. there is one thing that stands out.

Some of the information sits collecting dust and I’ve never even used it.  There are the things that lured me in with the promise of the magic bullet.

But the programs and information that I have actively participated in have been very valuable with things I refer back to again and again.

I consider those an investment in myself, in my growth, in my businesses, and in discovering better ways to enjoy life.

Let’s face it; we all spend time money on things that don’t add any value to our lives.

After you spend money on the necessities, there is a lot more room for making choices than you think.

When you invest in yourself, you’ll reap the long term rewards long after the time or money is spent.

Investing time and money in your potential and making decisions based on what is important to you, and what bring you happiness, not just for the moment but for the future is the best investment you’ll ever make.

Barbara Winter wrote that she often gets emails about how people are quick to say they can’t afford to do something that would help them to go in the direction of their dreams or just be a life affirming experience.

In her Feb 2010 blog post at http://www.joyfullyjobless.com, she writes about a self employed friend who needed extra cash that put an ad in Craigs list to pet sit and not long after earned over $1, 000.

“What successful goal setters know is that the process goes something like this: focus on a goal, brainstorm obvious and crazy ways to make it happen, start taking action.”

So don’t wait to invest in your happiness.  Get creative and figure out a way to make it happen.

P.S. If you are ready to spend some time and attention on what you really want and what makes you happy, contact me about the Success Circle Program…..it’s about to start  and I just have a couple spots left!
