Embracing Creativity

Embracing Creativity

These past few years have been difficult. I’ve started and abandoned more creative projects than I’d like to admit, and I’ve dreamed up even more ideas that died before I ever sat down at my desk.

That there though has been the problem. Generic desk and studio avoidance. The avoidance was born from work and family obligations. 60-80 hour work weeks for a few years and teenagers who were extra needy.

But those 70 hour weeks have faded, and the needy teenagers have grown into men in their 20s. So what is the issue these days?

Desk and studio avoidance. How many of use struggle with that? What can we do about it? How can we Embrace Creativity in all the ways that we need to in order to feel whole?

That’s the whole purpose of this blog, newsletter, and podcast. The basic idea is for me to explore the topic once a week in each format. I’m hoping for identical content so whichever format works best for you. And I’m hoping that my own creative projects and vision take root and come to fruition.. I have a whole lot I want to make. And I’m tired to turning my back on the process.

It’s time for me to embrace creativity. How about you?
